Jocelyn Gavin-Lane “Just Jocelyn” is a licensed certified social worker, speaker, and consultant that believes in the empowerment African American women and girls and mental health wellness. She is the owner of Premier Professional Counseling Services, LLC and founder of Pink Lotus Project, Inc. a national nonprofit organization focused on empowering women and girls through service and education.
Jocelyn has over 18 years of experience in the mental health field. She has become a sought-after expert in mental health. She is a servant leader and passionate about disseminating her work in a variety of ways to increase awareness about the stigma of mental health in African American communities, empowerment of women, and influencing the next generation of advocates and leaders.
Jocelyn has shared her expertise at dozens of speaking events, community organizations, churches and conferences. Her organization, Pink Lotus Project, has awarded over $10,000 to Memorial Hospital Foundation to support the breast imaging fund. Pink Lotus Project provides scholarships to girls in the Pink Lotus Leadership Academy and continues to educate young women to dream beyond the barriers they face to reach their fullest potential.
Conscious of living what she teaches, Jocelyn has a deep-rooted love for vision boards. She is affectionally known as the Queen of Vision Boards on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She believes that intention is very powerful and goal setting is necessary to be successful.
Jocelyn has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Jackson State University and a Masters of Public Health from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a member of the National Association of Social Work. She is a member of several other professional and civic organizations.
