Janet Autherine is an accomplished author of 3 books that empower and amplify the voices of women. After 25 years in the legal profession as an attorney and administrative law judge, she founded the Island Mindful Path to Transformation.
The Island Mindful Path to Transformation combines the principles of island mindfulness and emotional intelligence to bring clarity to life changing decisions, and a peaceful path to resolving conflicts.
“It is our duty as women who have achieved some success to not only continue to live a life of purpose but to pass on everything that we have learned to the next generation so that their path can be clearer.” This belief led to the formation of 2 mentorship programs, Women Leaving Footprints, and Selfcare Sistas (Facebook). These programs are aimed at empowering young women globally who are overwhelmed and need clarity and guidance on issues relating to career, personal development, and work/life balance.
Her most recent books are: Island Mindfulness: How to Use the Transformational Power of Mindfulness to Create an Abundant Life, and the Heart and Soul of Black Women.
